Hi, I’m Jodi!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who loves helping people find comfort in their own skin, love their sex lives, and move past trauma or difficult life experiences so that they can truly experience connection and joy. Sex Therapy can improve many aspects of your life outside of intimate relationships, and my holistic approach honors my clients whole being. I am licensed in the State of Connecticut and am an out-of-state Telehealth Provider in the State of Florida. https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/

I offer psychotherapy, sex therapy, and EMDR to help my clients achieve their goals. I specialize in sexuality issues, intimacy issues, anxiety disorders, LGBTQI issues, and trauma.

My clients are motivated for change, often creative or spiritual, and often anxious over-achievers. This practice is sex-positive, kink and polyamory-aware/positive, and LGBTQIA*- affirming and celebratory.  I welcome non-traditional families and people who live alternative lifestyles. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, creative, embodied, and experiential.

I can’t wait to see you shine,

Want to work with me?

Sex Therapy

Sex is one of those things that a lot of people do, but many don’t talk about. In our culture it can feel like a taboo to talk about sex. All of the silence creates a lot of shame! In session, we can explore where you might feel blocked around sex so that you can feel empowered to have a pleasurable sex life. I help clients deal with sexual issues, relationship concerns, the intersection between identity and sex, and processing sexual trauma.

Trauma Therapy

When dealing with the aftermath of trauma, it can feel like traumatic event has taken over your life and identity. A goal of therapy is to process and heal trauma so that you can engage your life with joy. I am EMDR- trained and provide EMDR virtually or in-person.

Creativity

Creativity can be a double-edged sword. At times it can feel like a flowing river of inspiration while at other times anxiety, writer’s/creator’s block, and imposter syndrome can make creating feel like a chore. Your unique spark and purpose is important and you owe it to the world to cultivate it. I help creatives move into flow using EMDR, drama therapy, and somatic awareness.

Spirituality

Many people feel a yearning to connect to something greater than themselves and with this yearning often comes a wrestling with different aspects of the divine. Some of my clients work with me to incorporate their own spiritual understanding into their lives, some want to use their spiritual beliefs as they work to process trauma, and some are interested in the spirituality of sacred sex. All beliefs are welcome!
