Supervision and Consultation

Sex Therapy Supervision

“There are no new ideas. There are only new ways of making them felt.” Audre Lorde

Being a therapist is a deep calling for so many of us, and for those of us in private practice, it can also be isolating. I offer sex therapy supervision for therapists who are looking to become AASECT Certified Sex Therapists. I also offer consultation to therapists throughout their career. I truly believe that we should never stop growing, and seeking consultation is one of the ways to ensure that we are providing ethical care for our clients.

Supervision for Sex Therapy

I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapy Supervisor and I offer supervision and mentoring for therapists worldwide who are looking to deepen their work with clients on sexual and relationship issues.

In order to become an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, one needs 50 supervision hours and 25 of them can be in Group Supervision. A therapist must be in supervision for no less than 18 months. Therapists can have a maximum of 6 supervision hours a month.

Supervisees can have a total of 4 supervisors, but must designate one as their Primary Supervisor who sees them through their whole certification journey.

Check out the AASECT website for more information about supervision.
